If you know me at all, you are highly aware that my ovaries hurt about every 5 years or so. They long for a new baby and my heart and my head usually follow along. Hence…6 children from the ages of 23 all the way down to 4.
FOUR! My baby is 4 and the minute I woke up to that realization, my ovaries started to hurt and I wanted another baby. But nature has a way of taking care of things and I can’t have any more…of the human variety. And so I got obsessed, as I always do, with adding a new baby in to my life.
Enter Buddy (yes he’s named after the Elf and he’s a pure bred Yorkshire Terrier that should have a name that starts with sir something or other, but his name is simply Buddy). And he’s such a sweet little Buddy for sure.
Look at that face!
Sometimes he’s frisky!
Often he’s lazy (but he’s just a baby….awwww!).
He’s TOTALLY rotten already!
But above all else…he’s loved!
I have my new baby. My ovaries feel at ease. Life is good for me, for my family, and for Buddy. Our family is complete. Thank goodness for my obsessions. Without them, I would not have my 4 children that I cherish with all my heart. I would not be married to the most wonderful (yet sometimes frustrating) man on the planet. I wouldn’t have my step children in my life to remind me that parenting is truly a difficult yet rewarding task. And I wouldn’t have my Buddy.
