I’m highly aware that this is not the best quality photo. It was taken almost 2 years ago from a cell phone, but when I ran across this on my computer today, it brought joy to my heart and I wanted to share it with you here.
You see, sometimes the quality of the photo is not nearly as important as the quality of the moment. My oldest daughter and her friend were staying with us on the island at the time. They headed out on bicycles to the Seawall for a little adventure and fun. Apparently they stopped and thought they’d get their silly on.
I’m not sure how they staged this photo. They tried to explain but I just couldn’t understand how they made it look like they jumped this high. Yes, they are both former cheerleaders that I in fact coached, but I assure you, they can’t jump that high!
To this day, I’m not sure that I actually care how they staged this photo nor am I concerned with its quality. To me, this represents a happy moment in life and we just can’t have enough happy moments. I relish in my happy moments. No matter how clear or blurred they are in my head, I use them as my happy place, and they remind me to jump for joy on a daily basis.
