Galveston Club Paradise: My View

As everyone knows, since I say it all of the time, I work from home. I work long hours and I attempt to take care of my family, and my home. I have children that have to get to school and home again. There are groceries to buy and meals to fix. I don’t have time to just get out and enjoy things very often really. And so I complain, internally or out loud, it doesn’t really matter. The fact is that I do it. And I totally should not!
You see, every time I need a break because my eyes are crossing, or Bubby’s whining (OMG I have to break that kid of this whining habit), or one of the girls pulled yet another stunt, or I don’t feel like cooking or cleaning, or whatever…I step out on my back porch and at sunset, this is my view from my settee.
Just over that railing is the ocean’s shore. I can hear the waves, I can feel the winds, and I can smell the salt water.
This photo is unedited, not cropped, and unchanged completely for a reason. I wanted you to sit there with me for a moment to remind me the next time I complain that I completely need to shut up! Life’s beauty is all around us, no matter where we are, we just need to remember to soak it in when it presents itself
I love that sky, and the view from my settee. Now if you’ll excuse me, I believe I need to step outside and soak in more of that beauty. I’ll save it for a rainy day. But remember, if I start whining again…remind me to shut my pie hole. Despite some recent set backs, my life is pretty darn amazing!

  1. With this view, I would never get any work done! Can you frame this for me so I can hang it in my cubicle? #notjoking

  2. But I don’t want you to shut your pie hole! 😉
