Well his room is anyway. We moved in to our new pad back in February and I’ve yet to make it a home. We love our house, but it just doesn’t have a lot of flair yet. I’ve done a few small projects here and there but not enough. I’ve been busy.
His room is anything but cool. It’s so boring. Bland walls. No decorations. Nothing that shines like he does. The possibilities are endless. To infinity and beyond in fact. I see the stars and planets aligning here. He needs something intergalactic. Something exciting. A room he can be proud of. A room he can feel comfortable sleeping in and one that feels inviting to his friends.
AND let’s just put this out there. Bubby is “agrabe” of the dark. Look, I’m afraid of the dark too. It’s all good and I found a solution. We can make his room fun, intergalactic, and not so spooky in the dark. Ready, Set, Glow!
Enter Glidden Disney Paints. They have the coolest new line of paints available exclusively at Walmart! The Disney specialty finishes include All That Glitters, Great Slate, Magnificent Metallic, Speck-Tacular, and the paint my Bubby decided on which is Ready, Set, Glow! I found them at my local Walmart and I can’t wait to get started on Bubby’s room.
Disney Paint by Glidden offers 112 exclusive colors and five finishes. This paint is premium quality, ultra durable, and has your kid in mind. Repeated washes are not only tolerated, they are encouraged. This paint can handle it! The paint is low odor and has no VOCs. They have a distinct group of colors that will not only satisfy children of all ages, but will compliment any Disney theme your little one might have in mind. My little one was digging Buzz Lightyear and glow in the dark. See? They aim to please!
The shopping trip wasn’t the best experience of my life. The Walmart associates weren’t “in the know” about the latest Glidden Disney paints. It wasn’t their fault. Although the paint section is pretty massive at Walmart, and I actually brought the sunshine in to the babies’ room at our old house with another Glidden paint from Walmart, this particular product is new. Some training issues need to be addressed in store for sure.
After 3 stores and quite a few conversations, I think we have all of the paint and supplies we’ll need to get Bubby out of the dark. I love this kid and I’d do anything to make him happy! And I really love the theme and colors he picked out. I can’t wait to see his room glow!
I’m so excited that Bubby picked Buzz Lightyear for his theme. This is going to be so cool! And for the record, yes, Bubby did get to bring this Buzz Lightyear home with us. What Bubby wants, Bubby gets.
Stay tuned. This makeover will happen over the next month or two. I’ll be back with updates and the big reveal. We can’t have Bubby being “agrabe” of the dark anymore, now can we?
