Menopause…What? It’s Too Early For That!

For the record, I received product and compensation for this post and a series of videos for the Changing Ways site by i-Health, Inc., the makers of Estroven Weight Management. But as always, the views and opinions are entirely my own and I’d tell you about them regardless.

Or is it? Let me explain. I’ve talked about this here before, even though it might make some uncomfortable, but this is a natural fact of life that will hit all of us women at some point (and the men in our paths). Unfortunately, it hits some of us earlier than others.

You see, I’m old. OK, I’m really not THAT old but my uterus is (there, I said it) and it’s tired. It decided to shut down (for the most part) about 4 years ago. After Bubby was born, it pretty much decided that 20 years of bearing children was all it wanted to handle. And then I got hit with the symptoms. Dang uterus.

There I was, only 41, waking up with night sweats (speaking from a woman who never sweat a day in her life even during work outs or hot days on the beach), occasional hot flashes, and ridiculous mood swings (seriously PMS has nothing on this)

And I dealt with it. The doctors confirmed my suspicions. They told me I was one in millions that had this rare onset. Bubby was my last seed. I gave birth one day, hit perimenopause the next. Oh goody. I love being unique! *Insert sarcasm here*

No one wanted to treat me with prescription estrogen pills. I was too young they said. It would be harmful they said. I just wanted relief.

Four years later, I found the relief I was looking for when the makers of Estroven emailed me and asked if I wanted to partner up. Did I want to? You bet your sweet night sweat butt I did! HELP ME!

And so they sent me a 6 month supply of their new innovative pills, Estroven Weight Management. But it wasn’t the weight management I was concerned with (although that ever increasing tire around my tummy region has thanked them repeatedly for stepping in). I was more intrigued with the side effects of the pills. They help with night sweats, mood swings, and hot flashes. And it’s a natural supplement so I kind of dig that.

So I went on an 8 week journey with this company and I saw some amazing results. You can watch the whole thing on the Estroven Changing Ways Site, week by week, to track my progress. Even if you aren’t in need of this product yet, you might want to follow along because there’s video and you can finally see what a hot mess I really am by watching.

Other women, from different age groups at different phases in their lives, also traveled this journey with me. You can follow along with them too.

My experience with Estroven has been a good one. I hope you’ll check out the site, and if you’re having any of the symptoms, or wondering what to do once they hit, I’m sure you’ll want to check Estroven out. You can even find them on Facebook and Twitter.

If you’re on the cusp and have questions, just ask me. If you’re already there and don’t know where to turn, ask me. If you’ve already passed this phase and have any advice for me, tell me! Let’s just make a pact not to hide in the closet anymore. Don’t be ashamed because your uterus is tired. I’ve been fruitful. I’m OK with it now.

  3. I just turned 40 and have terrible night sweats with a few other mild symptoms like rapid weight gain with no change in diet or exercise except that I exercise MORE. I was told I was also prematurely menopausal. Wtheck? One day a nice, unsweaty woman and the next……. a hot sweaty mess. I got this product today hoping it will help! Thanks for your insight.
