The Little Rascals Save the Day on DVD 4/1/14 and Giveaway {ends 4/8}!

For the record, I received a copy of this DVD for review purposes from Click Communications. As always all opinions and ideas are entirely my own. I remember when I was little, my mom turned me on to watching old reruns of The Little Rascals on TV. I have fond memories of sitting in front of the TV with my mom watching one of her childhood favorites as we laughed together. I'll admit, I haven't watched any of those shows in years and I'm not sure they're even still syndicating. But when I heard that The Little Rascals Save The Day Blu-ray and DVD combo pack would be hitting store shelves today, I just knew this was something I wanted to share with my kids. Take a sneak peek for yourself... We already own our copy and I just can't wait to sit down as a family to create new memories with my own little ones surrounding this mischievous gang. The Little Rascals are back in an all new movie! "Join the fun with Spanky, Alfalfa, Darla, Buckwheat, Petey the dog, and the whole gang as … [Read more...]

Disney FROZEN Fun Family Night featuring Norwegian Meatballs {Recipe}

Before we get onto the Disney #FrozenFun, I should probably tell you that I am a member of the Collective Bias® Social Fabric® Community. This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper amplification for Collective Bias and its advertiser.Disney's FROZEN the movie is all the rage in theaters right now. Have you seen it? Unfortunately, we have not. We were invited, as a family, to a pre-screening in Houston but due to school schedules, and the sniffles, we were unable to attend. *SIGH* But that didn't stop us one bit from celebrating its release. You can't hold a Disney family down. Instead, we decided to celebrate at home with a FROZEN themed dinner party, complete with Walmart toys, fun themed foods, and lots of imaginative play!For us, family fun nights have to have a theme. I often get my inspiration for that theme from movies. Disney movies of course! We headed to Walmart to pick up the supplies for our dinner and of course I was roped into the usual "Mom, can we stop by … [Read more...]

Dinner & A Movie with Marvel’s Iron Man & Hulk: Heroes United

I really should tell you that I received the following Blu-ray and DVD Combo Pack with bonus features to facilitate this family movie night from Click Communications and their client. As always, all of the photos, ideas, and opinions are entirely my own.I try to make Wednesday nights fun nights around here. I don't know why. Maybe it's because we made it half way through our busy week. Maybe to keep the babies pumped for the rest of the week. Or maybe because fun nights just mean I get to take a little time off and enjoy time with my family in the evening. So this week, fun night called for dinner and a movie. Bubby LOVES Super Heroes. In fact, I think he's pretty much a super hero himself. Seriously, he's always dressing up as one super hero or another. So when I heard that Marvel's Iron Man & Hulk: Heroes United was available on DVD and Blu-ray on 12/3/14, I knew exactly which movie we'd be watching. And of course dinner had to fit the theme. Do I think that Hulk pizza looks just … [Read more...]

Holiday Movies for Kids: Mickey’s Christmas Carol PLUS a Very Merry Pooh Year

I really should let you know that I received the following DVDs with bonus features to facilitate this family movie night from Click Communications and their client. As always, all of the photos, ideas, and opinions expressed here are entirely my own.I'm sure I've said this time and time again, but I don't watch a lot of TV, or movies, or anything but things that pop up in this little black box. I just don't have the time I guess, or I don't care to. I'm not sure which it is, but it is what it is. Other than this time of year. I'm a sap for holiday movies. A SAP. And I could spend hours on end making my family watch them with me watching them. And even though the holiday movies I watch are always family friendly, sometimes they are movies that don't capture my children's hearts, imaginations, nor interests. And then there are those times that I find common ground. We ALL love Disney movies so when I heard that the 30th Anniversary Special Edition of Mickey's Christmas Carol and Winnie … [Read more...]

Popcorn in the Living Room with Disney’s Gravity Falls Six Strange Tales

As part of a sponsored post for Click Communications and their client, I actually allowed the babies to eat popcorn in my living room for family movie night. As always, all opinions, ideas, photos, and messes in my floor are entirely my own.You might be asking yourself what in the world would make me break my own rules and allow eating in my living room. Was it a temporary moment of insanity? Was I just tired of being the warden? Nope. We received an early release copy of Disney Channel's popular animated TV series, Gravity Falls, and we decided to sit down as a family, with popcorn, for a fun family movie night with these Six Strange Tales.Welcome to Gravity Falls...It's Just West of Weird...Slightly East of Eerie...And Always North of Normal!As soon as I turned on the movie, the babies were glued to the TV and their popcorn. I love hearing their laughter and these six episodes were side-splitting funny. This was a much needed break in our busy school/work schedules. And surprisingly, … [Read more...]
